Political science as one of the oldest departments is in the traditional academic structure of the college. It was introduced rather established through bifurcation from Economics in the year 1970. It is a most vibrant age – old department in the faculty of arts ; Not to speak of unfolding the most characteristic features of Political Science with its fast changing get up and inherent set – up, but also to speak of the enhancement of our academic acumen and wisdom, the gathering of various teaching materials and methodological ways as well as the creation of easy teacher – student intercourse. We try to generate an atmosphere in the department so as to appear it a mini political globe.

Our message is that, were students, having interest for Political Science or having interest for society as a whole, really come and join us, they will feel here as comfortable and familiar as their home and primary academia.
