The Vectrino is a high-resolution acoustic velocimeter used to measure 3D water velocity in a wide variety of applications from the laboratory to the ocean. The basic measurement technology is coherent Doppler processing, which is characterized by accurate data with no appreciable zero offset.
The Aquadopp Profiler is an inexpensive tool for shallow water velocity measurements on time scales larger than 1 second. It gives speed and direction in up to 128 different layers of the water column. The system electronics integrates Doppler velocity with temperature, pressure, tilt, and compass information. The system also has built-in solid state recorder and batteries. State-of-the-art power management and miniaturized electronics combine in a compact single-canister design that is suitable for real-time operation or self-contained deployments.
The Vectrino Profiler is a profiling Velocimeter that can measure the 3D velocity at rates up to 100 Hz. It is primarily designed for laboratory use but has successfully found use also in field applications such as velocity measurements on the beach.
