STRUCTURE OF B.A./ B.SC./ B.COM. HONOURS & GENERAL 3 – TIER EXAMINATION PATTERN

Under Graduate studies (For both General & Honours Course)


1)    Part – I at the end of 1st Academic year
2)    Part – II at the end of 2nd Academic year
3)    Part – III at the end of 3rd Academic year

For Honours Students:

1)    Part – I : 400 marks [ 2 * 100 = 200 marks honours papers, 2 * 100 = 200 marks general papers]
2)    Part – II : 700 marks [3 * 100 = 300 marks honours papers, 2 * 200 = 400 marks general papers]
3)    Part – III 450 marks [3 * 100 = 300 mark honours papers, 3 * 50 = 150 compulsory papers]

For General students:

1)    Part – I : 300 marks [ 3 * 100 = 300 marks General papers]
2)    Part – II : 600 marks [ 3 * 200 = 600 marks General Papers]
3)    Part – III : 450 marks [ 3 * 100 = 300 marks General Papers, 3 * 50 = Compulsory Papers]

A student will be eligible to appear in class test in an Honours subject for Internal Assessment if he/she has at least 50% class attendance in that subject at the time of holding the test.

STRUCTURE OF M.A. EXAMINATION PATTERN

Post Graduate studies

1)    1st Semester : 200 marks [ 4 * 50 = 200 marks]
2)    2nd Semester: 200 marks [4 * 50 = 200 marks]
3)    3rd Semester: 200 marks [ 4 * 50 = 200 marks]
4)    4th Semester : 200 marks [4 * 50 = 200 marks] including special paper
A student will be eligible to appear in class test in PG classes for Internal Assessment if he/she has at least 75% class attendance in that subject at the time of holding the test.

Change of Course & withdrawal of admission

Normally no change of course, shift and subject is permissible. But under special circumstances such may be allowed on payment of Rs. 30/- and Rs. 50/- for General & Honours subjects respectively (subject to availability of seat/subject).

A student after his/her admission is expected to complete his/her course of study in this college. Nevertheless, if a student withdraws him/her – self just after admission(before commencement of classes), the fees deposited at the time admission will not be refunded. If withdrawal is done after commencement of class a sum of Rs.500/ - will be charged as transfer fee in addition.
